After long-term use, even if the stone is properly maintained, it will lose its original decorative effect due to reasonable wear and tear; most secondary decorations will be replaced with new ones, but stone floors generally do not need to be replaced at the same time. Just choose to renovate and the stone floor will be brand new.
Stone maintenance is divided into light renovation, medium renovation and stone renovation according to the degree of stone wear.
(1) Cutting and grinding: Use heavy stone grinding machinery, equipped with horizontal cutting tools, renovation abrasives or diamond grinding wheels, and grind from coarse to fine according to the coarseness of the abrasives and grinding wheels until the floor is smooth and the stone texture is clear.
(2) Filling holes and sealing seams: Remove debris or old fillers from old gaps and cracks, and use special caulking tools to fill the gaps with repair materials. The repair materials we use will be integrated with the stone after completion.
(3) Polishing: After grinding, use special polishing equipment and polishing materials to polish the floor as a whole to make the stone brighter.
(4) Protection: Use stone protective agent to make the stone permeable and prevent foreign matter from penetrating. You can choose whether to perform this process according to different stones.
(5) Surface maintenance: After completing the above processes, the stone has reached the use standard, but the surface wear resistance is not enough, and a hard protective layer needs to be formed artificially. At this time, the stone is in its initial state. This process is crucial and can lay a good foundation for future maintenance.
