Diamond grinding wheel manufacturing process

Diamond grinding wheels are the most important type of abrasive tools in grinding processing. It is a porous body made by adding a binding agent to the abrasive, compacting, drying and roasting.

Abrasive is the main raw material for manufacturing grinding wheels and is responsible for cutting work. Therefore, the abrasive must be sharp, hard, heat-resistant and have certain toughness. Binders are used to bind abrasives. The strength, impact resistance, heat resistance and corrosion resistance of the grinding wheel mainly depend on the performance of the bond.

Diamond grinding wheel production process:

Ingredients

Weigh various raw materials required according to recipe requirements;

Mix

Mix abrasives and other various materials into molding materials in order and time according to process requirements;

Forming

Use a press and a mold to press the molding material into a grinding wheel blank of the desired shape;

Sintering

During the firing process, ceramic grinding wheels are called sintering, resin grinding wheels are called hardening, and rubber grinding wheels are called vulcanization. The whole process is completed through temperature changes of heating, constant temperature, and cooling with curve changes;

Processing

Use a lathe or grinder to process the outer circle, flat surface, and hole diameter of the fired embryo into finished products.

Test

The appearance, size, hardness, balance, strength, etc. of the product must be strictly inspected to ensure that it meets the standard requirements.

When the diamond grinding wheel is installed on the rotating shaft, the end of the rotating shaft is cylindrical. When the grinding wheel rotates rapidly for a long time and performs grinding operations, the connection between the grinding wheel and the rotating shaft will slip, causing the diamond grinding wheel to idle, which not only affects the grinding quality, but also poses a safety hazard. At the same time, when replacing and fixing the grinding wheel, the existing method is to use a large number of screws to fix it, which is extremely cumbersome to install and will reduce the efficiency of the installation.
